Since I could not get to a DVD player or the Wii without everyone waking up, I hooked up the VCR instead and did this Line Dance Workout instead today. While my heart rate stayed in the desired range which for me is below "OMG, Call EMS!", I did realise that:
1. We still need more floor space for aerobics
2. My body refuses to move that fast
3. Aerobics may not be what is right for me because of my injuries.
I also wore my Butt-Toning Sneakers all day today:
While they were fine as long as they were on my feet, when I took them off I couldn't walk! My right heel feels like it's broken and I'm not sure if it was the aerobics of the Skechers.
Think I will take a day off from the Skechers as well and stick to Pilates or Yoga for tomorrow.
I have had this brand new DVD set for months. I grabbed it with the intention of beginning an exercise routine then. However, I put it off and put it off... Mainly because of our lack of space. Other excuses were:
* I didn't want anyone to watch me
* I was too tired from working
* There was not enough floor space (which is true)
Now that I have been working on de-cluttering our home there is more space. I had planned on starting this today. However, (and you can interpret this as an excuse or not, but it is the truth) I woke up today not feeling well at all. I felt it coming on a bit yesterday, but just thought I would go to bed early and wake up feeling better. But, that was not the case. I have done nothing more than Shine My Sink this morning. Anytime I get up, I just want to lie down and sleep.
ANYway..... When I get up tomorrow and this sickness has left me, this is what I will be doing. In the boys' room, since it has the most floor space. With the door closed, so noone can watch me, lol!
I have been doing the FlyLady's Beginner BabySteps for 16 days now. I've kept up with my progress on my other blog WAHMto5. While I was not able to do a step a day and sometimes I did two in one day, I feel pretty good about my progress. My house is looking better. Not perfect, but better. My kids are starting to chip in and so is JT. I would not be humiliated if someone came over, but would probably have to do at least a 15 minute room rescue. I would not cringe if they had to use our bathroom. It's all good.
The support and encouragement that the other FlyGirls at the FlyLady Facebook Page have been immeasurably helpful with keeping me on track. I'm so glad that I found that page through my mom's Facebook. If it weren't for them, I probably would have given up as I've done before.
Today I ordered Body Clutter, Sink Reflections and SideTracked Home Executives from Amazon. Can't wait till they get here!
For the New Year, I will be working on becoming healthier with the addition of excercise and better food choices. I will be recording that journey here as well as my continuous journey of blessing my home with FlyLady techniques.http://www.FlyLady.net .
I hope that you enjoy this blog and are inspired by my experiences!
